Project Overview
The clients approached Enhanced Landscape Design & Build looking to transform a large, under-used shingle area into a practical and welcoming outdoor space for their growing young family. Our brief was to create a surface that was both durable and visually timeless, while enhancing everyday usability.

During the early stages of the project, we discovered that the existing soakaway and downpipe drainage system was completely blocked and no longer fit for purpose. To ensure the longevity of the new paving and improve overall drainage, we installed a new rainwater harvesting crate system, along with new 4" soil pipes connected to the downpipes.

Once the drainage issues were resolved, the shingle was replaced with vintage blend limestone paving, selected for its natural character and warm tones. The area was finished with a reclaimed brick edge, adding definition and a subtle sense of heritage that frames the space beautifully.

The completed space is now a functional, low-maintenance area that combines timeless materials with modern family living — designed to be enjoyed for many years to come.
